Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician to join our team in Rolla, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field and laboratory tests, observations, and inspections of construction materials.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor representatives, and other relevant parties regarding construction site activities, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection results.
- Transport material samples, along with associated documentation, to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
- Compile, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatching technicians to project sites as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety standards at all times.

- Ability to maintain and operate testing equipment and vehicles.

- Proficiency in concrete, asphalt, and materials testing.
- Experience with nuclear gauge and construction materials testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Experience with Troxler, ACI, Cylinders, Proctor, and Compaction testing.
Work Environment
The position involves working both in the field and in the laboratory, requiring the use of various testing equipment such as nuclear gauges and Troxler devices.
