Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

As a Production Associate, you will play a critical role in the folding department by determining the type of fold needed for current jobs, printing necessary paperwork, and following all required procedures. You will select the appropriate folding sections, insert the correct folding gates and blanks, and source printed materials for folding. Additionally, you will set up feeders, rollers, and fold gates to ensure quality and accuracy, install and adjust slitters or scorers if needed, and monitor the quality and size of finished leaflets.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the type of fold needed for each job.
  • Print necessary paperwork for the job type.
  • Follow all required procedures and protocols.
  • Select and set up folding sections, gates, and blanks.
  • Source and prepare printed materials for folding.
  • Set up feeders and rollers to fit sheets.
  • Install and adjust slitters or scorers as needed.
  • Obtain QA sign-off for job completion.
  • Monitor quality and size of finished products during runs.
  • Box folded products for application or shipping.
  • Comply with all departmental SOPs, GMPs, and company policies.
  • Work overtime as needed to complete tasks.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Ability to respond to questions from managers, team members, and customers.
  • Capability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of printing production is a plus.
  • Experience with gluing systems and glue detection systems is a plus.
  • Experience with setting up sensors, scanners, and vision systems is a plus.
  • Packaging experience in the pharmaceutical or food packaging industry is a plus.
  • Ability to use a computer to navigate through and understand specifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled, ensuring comfort and compliance with government regulations. Employees are regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and print chemicals in a typical printing environment. The role also involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, with a moderate noise level.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
