Job Description
The quality technician supports production by conducting tests on all incoming materials, processes, and outgoing products, as well as performing environmental testing. This role is available for both 3rd shift weekend (Friday-Sunday, 6pm-6:30am) and 1st shift weekend (Friday-Sunday, 6am-6:30pm) with the option to work an additional 4 hours during the week.
Responsibilities
- Perform bacterial plating and microbiology testing.
- Conduct pH testing and use infrared readers for butter fat and total solids.
- Carry out titratable acidity measurements and machine calibration.
- Execute weight checks and various lab tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics of ingredients, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure all results meet cGMP/FDA specifications.
- Assist the R&D team in formulating new products.
- Record test results on standard forms and write test reports.
- Clean and sterilize all lab equipment and calibrate instruments.
- Follow all SOPs and adhere to GMP/FDA regulations.
- Proficiency in chemistry, biology, wet chemistry, titration, microbiology, and quality control.
- Ability to follow GMP and laboratory protocols.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree with laboratory experience in Biology or a related field preferred.
- High School diploma with industry experience in a lab will be considered.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is desired but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
- Experience in the restaurant industry is beneficial.
- Must not be lactose intolerant as product tasting is required.
The lab technician will work in both laboratory and manufacturing settings. The role requires adherence to specific safety and cleanliness standards. Shift hours are structured over the weekend with flexibility for additional hours during the week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Clair, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $21.60/hr.
