This is a contract to hire role that is going to support the installation, operational checks, maintenance, troubleshooting and tear-down of instrumentation in support of Lab and Flight Testing for a local company that specializes in aerospace and defense. This team makes electrical wiring harnesses for stress testing for a number of programs bur predominantly MQ25, F15, and F18. Responsible for pure fabrication of electrical harnesses for structural and stress testing on the planes. They will work in "lab" and "shop" environments, assembling the wiring in the harnesses and then installing directly into the aircraft.
Skills are Requirements:
- Attention to detail is emphasized.
- Ability to read blueprints (mechanical and electrical) is essential, experience with this is required.
- Electrical Fabrication experience required.
- Will be soldering and wiring, which can be taught but prior experience is preferred.
- They will use different electrical measurements - volt meters, strain gauges, accelerometers - familiarity with these are a plus.
- Associates degrees with years of experience OR degreed electrical engineers with internship experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered.
- Active DoD SECRET CLEARANCE is required.
- Experience working on electrical or electronic airplane components and systems preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
- Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems.
- Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
- Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down.
- Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results.
- Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.
Additional Information:
- This position will be 100% on-site.
- This is a 1st shift opportunity, but may have an occasional need for 2nd or 3rd shift every now and then but there will be a 2 weeks notice given prior.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
