Job Title: Punch Press Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating punch press machinery to produce high-quality parts, performing in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. This position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate punch press machinery efficiently and accurately to produce parts according to customer and internal specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspections of parts to ensure quality and conformance to standards, using tools such as check gauges, micrometers, calipers, plug gages, and go/no-go gages.
- Identify and report any defects or deviations in production to the appropriate personnel.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials, parts, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Complete production work orders and documentation accurately and on time.
- Perform necessary ERP transactions for records of production and time on a job-to-job basis.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and address any issues.
- Carry out other responsibilities and job duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience operating punch press machinery or similar equipment preferred.
- Forklift training, certification, or willingness to obtain certification or training required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Work Environment
Overtime may apply in accordance with production demand. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
