Job Title: Senior Production Manager
Job Description
Join a leading global Consumer Packaged Goods company at our largest U.S. plant, a premier manufacturing center for the Home & Garden division. We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our plant operations. This role requires inspiring and developing the manufacturing team to achieve strategic success while overseeing critical high-speed aerosol and liquid filling operations. As a strategic leader, you will drive continuous improvement efforts, optimize production flow, and ensure all operational KPIs are met.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor staff to foster a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion, developing clear personal growth plans for employees.
- Instill a safety-first culture to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with training standards and Job Safety Analysis.
- Maintain accountability for the financial performance of managed manufacturing areas, identifying cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Optimize production flow, manage staffing for a 24/7 schedule, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues for on-time product shipment.
- Develop and execute plans supporting the business's strategic growth objectives.
- Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles to meet or exceed daily KPIs, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory groups to uphold product quality standards and implement robust quality systems.
- Serve as a critical member of the Plant Leadership Team, sharing best practices across the corporate network.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure cohesive execution toward unified service, cost, quality, and safety KPIs.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference for experience in a CPG company.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and production management.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing and CPG environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ERP experience (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
- Experience with high-speed aerosol and/or liquid filling processes.
- Proven leadership experience with tangible results in manufacturing and supply chain.
- Ability to develop manufacturing methods to meet product cost targets.
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
- Understanding of financial reports, budgetary guidelines, and project expenditures.
- Ability to delegate work, problem-solve, evaluate performance, and interact professionally with various stakeholders.
Work Environment
Work both in the plant and in an office/cubicle for analytics. This role requires being highly hands-on within the facility. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST, with potential overtime as needed. The environment includes a dynamic and seasonal business operation, with a focus on process improvements and collaboration across departments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140930.00 - $176162.00/yr.
