About the Role
In this dynamic position, you will support daily EHS operations and compliance efforts within a large, regulated manufacturing environment. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prevent incidents, strengthen safety processes, and advance a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities
- Support and strengthen site-wide EHS compliance and safety culture initiatives.
- Manage and contribute to a broad portfolio of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to prevent incidents.
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions for staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulated waste handling and disposal protocols.
- Promote strong chemical and biological safety practices throughout the facility.
- Oversee incident management processes and support emergency preparedness efforts.
- Implement hazard communication, electrical safety, fall protection, and PIT safety requirements.
- Manage EHS requirements for on‑site contractors.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of EHS experience, with emphasis on health and safety.
- Strong knowledge across multiple EHS domains including:
- Regulated waste management
- Chemical and biological safety
- Incident management & emergency planning
- Laboratory safety
- Hazard communication
- Electrical safety
- Fall protection
- Powered industrial truck (PIT) regulations
- Contractor EHS oversight
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar regulated environments.
- Proficiency in lab safety and chemical safety protocols.
Work Environment
You’ll operate within a highly regulated bio‑manufacturing facility featuring:
- Smooth flooring that may present slip hazards due to liquid handling.
- Ergonomic challenges related to manual hose/piping operations.
- Chemical exposure risk requiring appropriate PPE and safety compliance.
You’ll join a collaborative EHS team consisting of Specialists at multiple levels and a supportive EHS Manager. While senior personnel primarily handle injury management, this role is focused on proactive safety programs and site‑wide initiatives.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
