Job Title: Mixer and Blender
Job Description
The Production Associate operates blending tanks to mix petroleum-based materials and additives according to established procedures. This role focuses on accurately weighing and measuring ingredients, monitoring the blending process, documenting production data, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate blending tanks and associated equipment to mix petroleum-based materials and additives according to established procedures and batch records.
- Work around blending tanks using valves, pumps, filters, and scales to control the flow and mixing of materials.
- Weigh and measure additives accurately and blend them with petroleum in specialized tanks to meet product specifications.
- Monitor the blending process continuously to ensure product quality, consistency, and adherence to production parameters.
- Collect product samples and transport them to the laboratory for testing and quality verification.
- Complete all production and quality documentation accurately, clearly, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure finished products are properly labeled, handled, and stored safely to maintain quality and traceability.
- Use hand tools, pallet handling equipment, and other production tools as needed for mixing, batching, assembly, packing, bottling, and order pulling activities.
- Perform inspection tasks to verify product quality and packaging integrity.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations while working around motor oil, petroleum products, and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of relatable experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
- Ability to accurately weigh and measure materials using scales and other measuring equipment.
- Ability to document production and quality data clearly and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure correct blending, labeling, and documentation.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Experience working with production equipment such as blending tanks, filler machines, and mixers.
- Capability to work safely around motor oil, petroleum products, and mechanical equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with general labor, general production, or machine operating tasks.
- Familiarity with forklifts and pallet handling in a production environment.
- Experience using hand tools for basic production and assembly tasks.
- Experience in blending, batching, and mixing operations.
- Experience with packing, bottling, and order pulling in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of inspection practices to support product quality control.
- Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience working in a unionized industrial manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial manufacturing setting within a union environment. The position requires regular interaction with blending tanks, valves, pumps, filters, scales, filler machines, mixers, bottling lines, pallets, and various hand tools. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
