About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and patient‑focused Patient Registration & Scheduling Coordinator to support our dental services team. This position is responsible for completing the full patient registration process, managing demographic and payment information, verifying dental codes, and coordinating appointments. As a key liaison between dental students and patients, you will play an essential role in creating a smooth, positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete patient registration by collecting demographic, insurance, and payment information.
- Determine appropriate service fees and process payments accurately.
- Accept and manage patient referrals.
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments.
- Verify dental codes and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Serve as a liaison between dental students, patients, and clinic staff.
- Maintain accurate, organized records and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and process transactions using a 10‑key calculator and credit card machine.
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over multi‑line phone systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or related field (dental experience strongly preferred).
- 2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Knowledge of third‑party reimbursement and insurance processes.
- Ability to accurately register and interview patients.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret written materials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to use initiative.
- Basic math skills and comfort with payment processing tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with patient scheduling systems.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and dental codes.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
