Actalent is looking for a CNC Programmer II to join our Medical Device Client!


Job Description

The CNC Programmer II will be responsible for creating and revising CNC programs, designing and validating multi-step machining operations, and designing and sourcing custom fixturing. The role also involves supporting current production and prototype projects while maintaining quality and safety standards, and creating and managing engineering documents including drawings, inspection documents, tool layouts, offset sheets, operator and setup instructions.


Responsibilities

  • Create and revise CNC programs for multi-step machining operations.
  • Design and source custom fixturing for manufacturing processes.
  • Support production and prototype projects while adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Manage engineering documents such as drawings, inspection documents, tool layouts, offset sheets, operator and setup instructions.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Multi Axis Swiss Lathe.
  • Experience in programming using Esprit software.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • 3-5 years of experience in programming Multi Axis Swiss machines.
  • 5 Axis experience is required.
  • Knowledge of part manufacturing, machine setup, and part programming in manufacturing process development.
  • Proficient with computer software including SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and/or PartMaker.
  • Knowledge of fixture design and manufacturing.
  • Proficient in G code programming and using CAM software.
  • Full understanding of tooling applications including speed and feeds.

Work Environment

Enjoy a four-day work week from Monday through Thursday on the first shift. Work with advanced equipment such as Multi Axis Swiss Lathes and 3, 4, and 5 Axis Mills.
