Job Title: Janitor / CustodianJob Description

The Janitor / Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the manufacturing and office areas. This role supports daily production by ensuring floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and work areas are cleaned according to company and safety standards. The janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a professional environment and supporting overall equipment and facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and work areas.
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed according to safety and company standards.
  • Operate janitorial equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and power washers.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and ensure proper dilution.
  • Support daily production by maintaining a clean environment.
  • Adhere to facility safety rules and maintain a safety-focused mindset.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in industrial cleaning, particularly in manufacturing or shop environments.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
  • Ability to operate various janitorial equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Reliability and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1+ years of janitorial or facility cleaning experience.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift 40–50 lbs., bend, twist, and stand for long periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
