Quality Specialist - Microbiology

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Specialist with a strong experience in Microbiology to join our expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in finished goods evaluation testing, participate in a lab expansion, and gain valuable experience in testing validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily microbiological testing under sterile conditions, including tasks such as spread plating, enrichments, sub-culturing, and gram staining.
• Conduct quality control of microbiological supplies and growth promotion testing.
• Perform water testing and environmental monitoring, including swabbing in manufacturing areas at scheduled times.
• Complete documentation in SAP and by hand, ensuring compliance with SOPs and GMPs.
• Coordinate the shipping of samples to third-party labs for outsourced testing.

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of microbiology and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency in cleaning and disinfection procedures.
• Ability to perform detailed documentation and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Biology is required
• Experience with gram staining, spread plate, and membrane filtration is advantageous.
• Experience in quality control and laboratory procedures.
