Job Title: Advanced CNC Programmer

Location: St. Louis, MO

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, flexible start/stop times) + Overtime

Environment: Clean, climate-controlled shop


About the Role

We are looking for an Advanced CNC Programmer to join a precision manufacturing team producing complex aerospace and defense components. This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled professional who thrives on solving challenging machining problems and driving innovation in multi-axis programming.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program intricate aerospace and defense components for multi-axis machining, with a strong focus on advanced 5-axis milling strategies.
  • Optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and other modern CAM tools.
  • Design and validate robust workholding and fixturing solutions for high-precision production and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and leadership to improve cycle times, extend tool life, and ensure process stability.
  • Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and machining work instructions.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies, including machine upgrades, advanced tooling, and automation systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience, specializing in 4- and 5-axis milling.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam, including simultaneous 5-axis toolpath programming.
  • Skilled in SolidWorks for design and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of machining characteristics for aluminum, steels, stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys.
  • Proven track record in process optimization, cycle time reduction, and tool life improvement.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex multi-axis machining challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Expertise

  • Ability to design, validate, and optimize fixtures, tooling strategies, and setup plans for multi-axis machining.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
