Job Description

• Adjust or repair packaging equipment.
• Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance tasks while documenting all activities.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, referencing blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Work with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain plant utilities, including boiler, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia systems, and building and grounds maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Must have electrical knowledge and ability to test and repair 110-480v electric motors, circuits, and switches.
• Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and Emergency Response Procedures.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.
• Possession of certain certifications and licenses may result in a higher pay rate.
• Good interpersonal skills are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $28.90 - $36.25/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Saint Louis,MO.
