🍽️ About the Role

We’re searching for a reliable, skilled Cook to join our healthcare food service team. This role is essential in preparing high‑quality meals for patients, retail operations, and catering services, while following strict dietary and safety standards. If you’re passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a clean, structured environment—this is the perfect opportunity.

🔪 What You’ll Do

• Prep and prepare food items: cutting, slicing, dicing, chopping, pureeing, marinating, etc.
• Wash, peel, and process vegetables/fruits; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Follow standardized recipes and use multiple cooking techniques (sautéing, broiling, braising, baking, grilling, deep frying, steaming).
• Operate institutional cooking equipment while maintaining food quality and temperature standards.
• Properly chill, label, date, and store food per food safety and rotation procedures.
• Complete assigned food safety quality control logs.
• Follow dietary needs including allergens, modified textures, and nutritional restrictions.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, appliances, and work areas.

⭐ Essential Skills

• Experience in food service, food prep, and cleaning
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Skilled in cooking, tray line, or line cook operations

• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Ability to follow portion guidelines and dietary protocols
• Assemble meals according to diet orders and menus
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and correctly

This is a Contract position based out of St. Peters, MO.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
