Job Description
The SAP Project Specialist will collaborate with local Process Owners, Key Users, and End Users to support their operational goals by training, guiding, and implementing SAP functionalities tailored to the organization’s needs. This role is responsible for defining, optimizing, testing, and documenting business processes in alignment with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand business processes to identify effective solutions, leveraging standard SAP functionality where possible and proposing custom enhancements when necessary.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to support SAP-related projects and ensure successful implementation.
- Assist in identifying and managing local IT service providers for specialized SAP or related software needs.
- Standardize and document core SAP workflows in collaboration with business teams, ensuring procedures are efficient and quality-focused.
- Gather and document requirements for new functionalities, including SAP configuration, custom enhancements, reports, and integrations.
- Support and maintain existing SAP configurations and customizations, ensuring seamless integration across modules.
- Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, recommending improvements as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience and an understanding of two of the following SAP modules and the associated configuration: MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), QM (Quality Management), WM (Warehouse Management), PP (Production Planning and Control), PM (Plant Maintenance).
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, engineering and/or business, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of SAP experience.
- Familiarity with Project Management processes.
- Knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, object dependencies, and tables.
- Understanding of all aspects of a full life cycle implementation and production support.
- Experience with implementations that include custom solutions around SAP (user exits, enhancements, customer programs).
Work Environment
The position requires working fully in-office from Monday to Friday.
Compensation:$140000
