Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Superintendent with robust computer skills and extensive experience with switchgears and UPS systems relevant to Data Centers. The role involves traveling between project locations in Mississippi and Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand the project schedule and overall scope.
- Assist in maintaining the project schedule daily through Touch plan.
- Collaborate with the Project Scheduler and Project Manager to develop progress schedules, such as a 2-week look-ahead schedule.
- Prepare and distribute daily logs using Procore.
- Coordinate and schedule necessary inspections.
- Prepare agendas for regular construction meetings.
- Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols.
- Ensure quality and workmanship of finished products.
- Develop and maintain a Site Utilization plan.
- Maintain a phone log.
- Prepare pre-punch list items.
- Collaborate with the Project Site Engineer to upload all pertinent project information on Procore.
- Provide site safety training and enforce safety compliance on the project site.
- Conduct weekly tool talks.
- Secure any hot work permits required for the project.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Data Centers
- Leadership skills in team management
- Strong computer skills
- Proficiency in electrical construction and project management
- Expertise in troubleshooting and commercial construction
- Knowledge of Procore, OSHA standards, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schedules
- Subcontractor management
- Strong communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical background (preferred)
- Experience as a site supervisor or in a management role
- Data center background (beneficial but not required)
- Willingness to travel (helpful but not required)
- Strong safety attitude
- Approximately 5 years of experience
Work Environment
The position requires on-site presence in Chicago and Mississippi, with travel expected between these locations. Benefits include a year-long contract with potential extension, travel and expense coverage, 401k, two weeks of PTO, dental/vision/medical insurance, a $60 cell phone reimbursement, and 10 paid holidays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Mississippi.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/hr.
