Job Title: Orbital Welder (PER DIEM OFFERED)
Job Description
We are seeking two skilled orbital welders for biopharma projects in the greater Raleigh area. The role involves taking charge of orbital welding high-purity stainless steel pipes. Candidates must be proficient in passing a 3/4-inch coupon test using an AMI machine, including setup and programming from scratch. This test is mandatory for eligibility. Experience with pharmaceutical or food and beverage projects is preferred, as candidates will be required to complete FDA paperwork after inspections. For those willing to travel, a per diem is available.
Responsibilities
- Perform orbital welding on high-purity stainless steel pipes.
- Set up and program AMI machines for welding tasks.
- Pass a 3/4-inch coupon test to qualify for the position.
- Complete FDA paperwork post-weld inspections.
- Collaborate on biopharma projects with high attention to detail.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in orbital welding.
- Experience with high-purity piping and stainless steel welding.
- Ability to perform TIG, MIG, flux core, and stick welding.
- Skilled in pipe fitting and blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience on pharmaceutical or food and beverage projects is advantageous.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apex, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
