Palo Alto Security Engineer (Firewall)

Description

Our client is currently in the process of moving their backup data center to a new location – eventually decommissioning the current backup data center – which will occur in a few migration phases. In order to do this successfully, they will need to onboard multiple Security Engineers who will be responsible for firewall policy migration and troubleshooting.

Skills & Qualifications

1) Expertise in firewall management and engineering – this person must have Palo Alto or NSX expertise (via APIs). Expertise when it comes to policy creation, management and troubleshooting will be essential for success.

2) Proactive mindset – this person should be solution-oriented and have good communication skills, allowing them to work well with other teams to troubleshoot and find areas for efficiencies.

3) This person should also have experience using scripting and automation to manage configurations – ideally Python.

4) Vulnerability intelligence gather expertise – this person should be the person on their team who is actively and consistently seeking out information regarding the latest and greatest vulnerabilities.
