Job Title: Interior Designer
Job Description
The role involves engaging in all phases of project design and management under the guidance of a project manager. This includes meeting with clients to determine their needs, goals, and vision, collaborating with the team to design project concepts, and making selections for FF&E that align with the project's aesthetic, function, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to determine their needs, project goals, and overall vision.
- Collaborate with the team to design concepts for projects, build upon ideas, and determine materials and finishes.
- Make FF&E selections that are appropriate for the project's aesthetic, function, and budget.
- Assist project architects and/or other interior designers in the creation and organization of all design documents.
- Coordinate with other architectural disciplines such as lighting consultants and MEP engineers.
- Meet deadlines and other schedule criteria.
- Ensure document standards of drawing quality and accuracy.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Experience in interior design, architecture, and space planning.
- Ability to communicate design ideas effectively and accept constructive feedback.
- A high level of creative talent in conceptual design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Portfolio of past work.
- Resourcefulness in finding unique materials and finishes.
- An eye for graphic design and presentation format skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and FF&E specifications is preferred.
- Skills in hand drawing and color rendering are a plus.
Work Environment
The office is a 30-person firm located in Charlotte, split between architecture and interiors. The new office in Wesley Heights offers free parking and exudes a friendly, team-oriented vibe. Amenities include arcade games and an in-house beer tap, contributing to a lively and engaging workplace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
