Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in fixing production equipment in a high-speed environment. Experience with bottling, canning, capping, or filler equipment is highly desirable. The role requires mechanical experience with conveyors, pneumatic troubleshooting, as well as replacing and repairing motors and gears. Electrical experience with sensors, proximity switches, and relays is essential due to the high speed and sensitivity of the equipment. While PLC experience is not required, welding and fabrication experience, particularly TIG and Stick welding on stainless materials, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on production equipment, ensuring high-speed efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including conveyors, motors, and gears.
  • Conduct pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Utilize electrical skills to manage sensors, proximity switches, and relays.
  • Apply welding techniques, primarily TIG and Stick, for equipment repair and fabrication.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical experience with industrial machinery.
  • Electrical troubleshooting expertise, particularly with AC electrical controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of conveyors and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with welding, including Arc and TIG practices.
  • Competence in metal cutting fundamentals and cutting tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, industrial, or aircraft maintenance.
  • Experience with gears, bearings, motors, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in highly automated environments with conveyor systems, cappers, fillers, and labelers is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment varies with the seasons, being cold in winter and hot in summer, with large bay doors open around the clock. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
