Job Title: Plasma Material Handling Associate
Job DescriptionThis role serves as the primary contact for plasma operations at the Plasma Logistics Center. The position involves receiving raw materials from donor centers and managing the flow of materials until they are sent for fractionation. This involves utilizing forklifts and other material handling equipment. As a skilled specialist using the Plasma Management System (SGP), the role supports supply chain-related projects and provides guidance to peers. The position is responsible for controlling raw material inventory throughout receipt, classification, and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Unload plasma shipments and identify and sort types of plasma, entering receipts into the Plasma Management System (SGP).
- Inspect equipment for damage and determine its suitability for further use in production, such as crates and pallets.
- Use Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment to control and monitor inventory movements within all freezer and warehouse locations.
- Locate plasma by verifying and pulling material from freezer work orders.
- Identify and remove unsuitable plasma units from processed production units (PU’s) and consolidated lots.
- Assist in the Classification area by managing plasma that is rejected or relocated from the inspection line.
- Maintain CGMP compliance by ensuring a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Comply with all company policies, SOPs, cGMP, OSHA, and EHS requirements.
- Work occasional overtime as needed.

- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of cGMP.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to multitask in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or other FDA licensed industry is desirable.
- Experience working with cGMPs and industry standards is desirable.
- Experience in reading, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures is desirable.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is on-site only and operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. The role requires effective communication both verbally and electronically with management and team members. The ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack safely and effectively is essential. The job involves repeatedly lifting 25 to 50 lbs. throughout the shift and working in extreme temperatures of -30°C or colder. The ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities is crucial. The role requires minimal supervision and the ability to follow detailed directions.
