Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description

Production Operators will work a 12-hour shift, rotating every ten days between day shift (6am to 6pm) and night shift (6pm to 6am).

Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate and monitor chemical reaction processes to manufacture polymer resins, industrial chemicals, and raw materials.
  • Monitor equipment using several computer screens and perform minor troubleshooting to ensure optimal production and minimal downtime.
  • Use computers to document data such as shipping and receiving information and manufacturing processes.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods in accordance with customer and chemical specifications.
  • Work in outside weather conditions as well as in an industrial environment, at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling.
  • Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures by wearing necessary Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, face shields, chemical suits, respirators, ear plugs, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots or safety shoes.
  • Meet and exceed production goals within a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety, working a rotating shift schedule in a 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in an industrial, warehouse, military, farming, construction, mechanical or production environment.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet to input and save information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Good work history (not choppy).
  • Must have a Diploma or GED/Equivalent.

Work Environment

Chemical Manufacturing Operations Plant. Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, requiring a willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conway, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
