Job Title: Electrical Foreman/Superintendent


Job Description

Join our Critical Power Team as an Electrical Superintendent, overseeing major electrical infrastructure projects primarily for distribution centers across the Midwest to the East Coast. This role demands coast-to-coast travel and involves managing various power projects such as generator and UPS installations, critical pathways, and new fire alarm systems. Projects typically last between two weeks to three months, with an expected workweek of approximately 60 hours.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the field project manager, handling all aspects of field operations.
  • Supervise and manage crews ranging from 2 to 15 members.
  • Execute project take-offs, review sets of prints, and complete look-ahead schedules.
  • Order necessary materials and collaborate with foremen to effectively manage crews.
  • Develop and pull schedules, ensuring instrumentation and conduit runs are completed efficiently.
  • Oversee multiple crews on major projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Manage material procurement and requisition needs.
  • Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Enforce safety regulations and foster a culture of workplace safety.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical expertise, including generators and conduit runs.
  • Journeyman or master electrician license.
  • Experience as lead foreman or superintendent on at least one industrial job site.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to manage project take-offs and run crews of various sizes.
  • Experience in material ordering and establishing look-ahead schedules.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly with foremen on site for daily issues and progress updates.
  • Experience in electrical construction and blueprint reading.

Work Environment

The role involves extensive travel across the coast, primarily focusing on projects in the Midwest to East Coast regions. Work will be conducted in distribution centers, with projects ranging in duration from two weeks to three months. Expect a workload of roughly 60 hours per week. The position offers a per diem allowance and coverage for some mobilization and demobilization costs.
