Job Title: Engineering Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Lab Technician to support global development teams in maintaining and improving our technical infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on approach in the lab, addressing pipeline issues, and ensuring the smooth integration of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work in the lab every working day to quickly address pipeline issues for global development teams.
• Assess and integrate new boards as they are introduced.
• Assemble Raspberry Pis and build servers.
• Provision servers using automation infrastructure such as Ansible.
• Perform maintenance on modifications, including soldering, new pin connections, and adding new test setups.
• Improve pipeline hardware reliability by recording issues and investigating root causes.
• Manage inventory by updating boards to newer versions when necessary and purchasing and organizing new items.
• Support the continuous expansion of the pipeline.

Essential Skills

• Experience with microcontroller units (MCUs).
• Proficiency in soldering and working with Raspberry Pi.
• Strong knowledge in Linux support.
• Proficient in using multimeters and logic analyzers.

Work Environment

The position requires daily presence in the lab to ensure quick response times to pipeline issues. The lab environment is equipped with modern automation tools, including Ansible, and involves handling various technical equipment such as Raspberry Pi and testing setups. Technicians are expected to manage inventory efficiently and adapt to the evolving needs of a global development team.
