Job Description

As an Assembler I, you will play a crucial role in building, testing, and packaging small parts and products. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed assembly procedures using handheld tools and medium-sized machinery. You will work closely with supervisors to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly procedures to build parts, using hands and small machinery.
• Take direction from supervisors to understand assembly procedures and production goals.
• Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
• Pack finished parts for shipment, including labeling and bagging parts, adding instruction information, and placing bagged parts into boxes.
• Examine products to verify quality and rework parts as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production or manufacturing with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform work safely with high attention to detail
• Manual dexterity to make coordinated hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects of varying sizes.
• Ability to withstand 10 hour shifts, being on your feet majority of the day and occasionally lift up to 45lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Skill in active listening and following directions.
• Ability to read calipers, work with micrometers, and keep up with high-speed production.
• Read and interpret simple blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to verify assembly process and quality requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elon, NC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
