The Personal Property Processing Office (PPPO) Quality Control Inspector ensures compliance with service tenders, tariffs, contract specifications and Government regulations used in handling of personal property. Inspect, document and evaluate Transportation Service Providers (TSPs) or local agent performance in moving personal property of Department of Defense personnel for accurate packing/unpacking, crating/uncrating, loading/unloading and technical servicing of household appliances. The PPPO Quality Control Inspector must be able to communicate with executive, administrative, and line management personnel to gather or convey relevant information and able to resolve and advise members/employee on entitlements associated with shipping personal property. Resolve any problems involving the rights of members/employees and the requirements of TSP and local agents, including on the spot action to bring deficiencies to the attention of the carrier to prevent any recurrence of violations or other unethical practices that generate or contribute to low quality service.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Monitor emails, and preapprovals in the Qulaity Control Que.
- Observe, document, and evaluate TSP or contractor performance in moving personal property of Department of Defense personnel
- Resolve controversial procedural problems involving the rights of members/employees and the requirements of TSP and contractors performing requested services
- Inspect agent facilities and their equipment to ensure that TSPs or local agents comply with service tenders, tariffs, contract specifications, and Government regulation used in handling of personal property
- Brief customers on entitlements associated with shipping personal property when questions arise
- Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
- Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
- Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 25 percent of the time or more.
- Will be required to travel 50 percent of the time or more including local, and overnight TDY requirements.
- May perform work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, face mask covering the mouth and nose, hand, eye, or foot wear is required in designeted areas.
- Must be able to wear a face mask covering the mouth and nose while operating a GSA vehicle.
- Drive a GSA vehicle
- Conduct vehicle checks
- Face to face interaction with customer.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long period of time. Up to eight hours.
- Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Three (3) years documented experience in Household Goods (HHG) shipments, both inbound and outbound.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge and working proficiently of the following: Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), Defense Transportation Regulation DoD 4500.9-R (DTR) Part IV, HQDA Personnel Policy Guidance (PPG) under Contingency Operations Provisions
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
- Experience in multiple facets of the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3)
- Property counseling is required.
- Experience in personal property shipping/storage, either government or commercial
- Industry, is required to include methods/techniques used to protect personal property.
- Knowledge of the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR), Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), and Defense
- Transportation Regulation (DTR) is required.
- Six months administrative background within an office setting (multi-functional work environment).
