Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description
The Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing the analysis, development, and permitting of land development, planning and surveying. This position involves overseeing site constraint analysis, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage designers and engineers to develop and evaluate site constraint analysis, including zoning, topography, environmental, and soils.
- Oversee project schedule and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Ensure project compliance with all applicable Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record for soil erosion & sediment control and stormwater plans, details, and calculations for permit submittal to AHJ.
- Direct Civil Designers and Engineers in preparing and revising site/civil plans and calculations.
- Prepare revisions and responses to AHJ comments.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of grading plan and erosion control.
- Expertise in Civil Engineering and Civil Design.
- Minimum eight (8) years relevant work experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer (NC Preferred, Not Required).
- Experience with design of photovoltaic (PV) projects.
Work Environment
