Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Hickory, NC

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting machines for malfunctions, monitoring performance indicators, and responding promptly to any signs of change. Additionally, you will troubleshoot production machinery, perform routine preventative maintenance, and adhere to workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
• Inspect machines for malfunctions and monitor performance indicators.
• Perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
• Communicate openly with supervisors and other employees.
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Identify and replace worn or damaged parts promptly.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of previous industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems (110-460 voltage).
• Experience in using a voltmeter.
• Experience repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Ability to weld and fabricate.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment with two openings available, both beginning with training on the day shift from 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Shift rotations include 7:00am-7:00pm and 7:00pm-7:00am on a 223 rotation. The facility is non-climate controlled but maintains a comfortable room temperature.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hickory, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
