Location/Division Specific Information:
Within the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC location specializes in gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). Our expertise lies in the development and production of various softgel technologies.
How Will You Make an Impact?:
Supervise Gelatin Associates
Guide and support gelatin associates during mixing, melting, and transfer processes.
Ensure team members follow SOPs and GMP procedures.
Oversee gelatin batch preparation according to the Batch Production Record (BPR).
Verify correct gel code, lot numbers, temperature, and timing.
Monitor gelatin tanks, mixers, and transfer lines.
Knowledge of SAP systems (preferred)
Troubleshooting, Problem solving Skills
Address issues related to gelatin quality, mixing, or equipment.
Coordinate with maintenance or quality teams if needed.
Coordinate with Encapsulation Lead, Production Supervisors, and Quality Assurance.
Communicate batch status and any deviations.
A Day in the Life:
Manufacture simple, Bulk products
Observe machine operation, take samples of product, and perform in-process testing
Train new associates on gelatin preparation procedures.
Ensure team follows safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Ensure rooms and equipment are cleaned and ready for production.
Assist with cleanup and other Gelatin duties as needed
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot
Ability to work 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation
Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested
Must have the flexibility to work additional hours when needed
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Must have the ability to regularly lift, push, or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds
Adherence to all GMP safety standards
Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
Loud noises (equipment/machinery)
Some degree of PPE required ( Safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc. )
Standing for full shift
