Job Description
The role of a Financial Analyst in our manufacturing sector acts as the analytical and strategic link between Finance and Operations Engineering. This position evaluates how production systems, material flows, labor models, and equipment performance translate into financial outcomes. Responsibilities include analyzing cost structures, optimizing standard costs, diagnosing variances, and supporting process improvement initiatives. The position integrates financial modeling with engineering concepts such as throughput, OEE, waste reduction, capacity utilization, and equipment investment. It also supports planning for production volumes, labor allocation, and plant overheads while partnering with operations, supply chain, and engineering to drive efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Analyze cost structures and optimize standard costs.
- Diagnose financial variances and support process improvement initiatives.
- Integrate financial modeling with engineering concepts like throughput, OEE, and waste reduction.
- Plan production volumes, labor allocation, and plant overheads.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Evaluate capital investment and optimize inventory.
- Ensure compliance with cost-accounting principles.
Essential Skills
- Financial analysis and finance expertise.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Infor.
- Advanced Excel modeling for process and productivity scenarios.
- Proficiency with tools for operational KPIs like Power BI and Tableau.
- Understanding of Lean, OEE, throughput, scrap, and downtime metrics.
- Capex evaluation for equipment and automation.
- Strong accounting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling skills.
This is a Permanent position based out of Kernersville, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
