Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Coordinator to join a healthcare support program focused on improving patient access to therapy. This role involves direct interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of services and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for patients and providers regarding program enrollment, reimbursement, and affordability support.
- Educate patients on insurance benefits, co-pay assistance, and access pathways.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow program guidelines.
- Collaborate with prescribers to remove non-clinical barriers to therapy access.
- Escalate complex cases appropriately and maintain compliance with privacy standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmacy or medical benefits and healthcare call centers.
- Strong understanding of insurance terminology (coinsurance, copay, government vs. commercial plans).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent multitasking, communication, and documentation skills.
- Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace and meet internet speed requirements (50 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
