Description

Able to interpret PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot electrical control systems including PLC, robotics, servos, drives, and touch-screens using a laptop including Allen Bradley, GE, and Siemens brands

•5years’ experience in industrial electrical controls or educational equivalent

•Working knowledge of National Electric Code and reference the code when required

•Ability to fabricate and wire electrical panels and terminal boxes

•Able to read and update electrical and pneumatic schematics

•Ability to operate power shop tools as well as common hand tools

•Must meet the work at heights requirements when operating a scissor lift

•Solid PC computing skills

•Ability to take initiative and to engage in continued growth and development to learn new technologies

•Basic understanding of Ohm’s Law and Watt’s Law

•Develops continuous improvement plans and recommendations on better, more efficient and less costly methods to complete jobs

•Ability to effectively perform formal root cause analysis

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills

•Able to stand and/or walk 90% of an 8-hr day which includes climbing a ladder or steps

•Must meet the vision and hearing requirements

•Must pass written and practical electrical test

•Electrical Arc Flash Safety and Lock Out Tag Out training

Additional Skills & Qualifications

5 years of experience with above and/or 2 year technical degree in electronics/PLC troubleshooting (Associates degree)

Must be able to interpret electrical and controls schematics and be able to sketch a schematic

Must be able to navigate through software and ladder logic into software

•Able to stand and/or walk 90% of an 8-hr day which includes climbing a ladder or steps

•Must meet the vision and hearing requirements

•Must pass written and practical electrical test
