The Sr. Integration Technician will provide essential technical support services for site integration, delivery, and maintenance of projects and control systems. This role involves deploying distributed generation control systems, including PLC programming, SCADA, remote monitoring solutions, protective relay programming, battery storage applications, generators, networking equipment, and system control architecture.
Responsibilities- Review project specifications and drawings with the engineering team and identify similar previous projects.
- Provide technical support for field personnel, engineering teams, and third-party vendors.
- Offer commissioning and integration support in the field to install products and projects.
- Coordinate maintenance programs covering generation, various assets, switchgear, and controls/SCADA.
- Document final installation configurations and changes.
- Share lessons learned from field integration and maintenance support with the engineering team.
- Represent the company at FAT testing with technical and product expertise.
- Support GridSure applications in the field and remotely, ensuring schedules and milestones are met.
- Review and verify drawing packages before submittal and release.
- Resolve outstanding design questions or issues.
- Communicate effectively in English with engineers, drafters, and manufacturing personnel.
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning power systems, manufacturing generators and switchgear, and control systems.
- Strong experience with Volvo diesel generators, MES/SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks.
- Proficiency in industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profinet/Profibus, CANopen, J1939, EtherCAT, MQTT.
- Experience with generator and power system controllers, switchgear, and generator packaging.
- Knowledge of UL standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficient with communications software such as Modscan, Modbus Poll, Wireshark, NMap.
- Proficient with industrial automation software packages like TIA Portal, Crimson 3.
- Proficient with protective relays such as Siemens Siprotec 5, ABB REx, SEL series.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to interact with peers and management.
- Ability to travel up to 55% of the year.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical drawing sets.
The role is remote, requiring proximity to a major airport due to travel demands of approximately 60-70% to customer sites. Work settings include manufacturing facilities, project construction sites, and live industrial process facilities. The position may involve exposure to electrical testing and industrial processes, with work conditions varying from hot to cold weather, and may require physical activities such as lifting, squatting, and standing in high or low positions for extended periods.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr.
