Land Development Civil Engineer – Growth-Focused, Collaborative Team

We’re seeking a talented Land Development Civil Engineer to support and lead multidisciplinary site development projects from initial concept through construction. What You’ll Do
As a key contributor to the civil/site team, you will take part in both design and project management responsibilities, helping shape deliverables and mentor emerging engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil/site designs, plans, reports, and calculations for permitting and approvals.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, and Project Managers to deliver coordinated, high‑quality project documents.
- Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and workloads to meet client and internal expectations.
- Develop practical engineering solutions using recognized design standards and best practices.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance before project delivery.
- Attend client meetings to provide updates, review designs, and build strong working relationships.
- Mentor junior staff and support their technical and professional development.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Strong foundation in land development engineering including grading, utilities, and stormwater design.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D / AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Effective project management skills and experience coordinating client communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 8–12 years of relevant civil/site development experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in water resources engineering and advanced stormwater management design.
- Ability and desire to lead, mentor, and support less experienced staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a focus on relationship‑building.

This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
