Job Title: Certified Inspector (CMT)


Job Description

This role involves on-site observation, inspection, and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt placements to ensure compliance with engineering standards. The ideal candidate will communicate daily with project managers, contractors, and technicians while accurately documenting findings and submitting reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed field observations and inspections of construction materials.
  • Test soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt placements.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
  • Document observations in alignment with accepted engineering practices.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to verify field data.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of recent field experience in materials testing and inspection.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
  • Possession of relevant certifications (ACI preferred).
  • Proficiency in soil testing (concrete experience is a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in materials testing or special inspections.
  • Certifications such as ICC (Structural, Concrete Masonry), NICET, TROXLER, or QMS are an advantage.

Work Environment

This position is nearly 100% field-based, covering projects across residential subdivisions, and commercial and industrial sectors, ensuring the structural integrity of construction sites through soil evaluations.
