Director of Project Scheduling (Hyperscale Data-Center)
Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Project Scheduling to lead enterprise-level scheduling strategy and execution across complex, multi-phase programs—specifically hyperscale data center construction. This leader will own the integrated master schedule, establish schedule governance, coach and develop teams, and drive predictable outcomes from site development through commissioning and turn-up. The ideal candidate blends deep field understanding with advanced planning tools, Lean methodologies, and risk analytics to deliver schedule certainty at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across civil, structural, architectural, electrical, low-voltage, mechanical, controls, and commissioning.
- Establish schedule standards, governance, and baselining; lead gate reviews and phase planning.
- Implement CPM rigor (logic ties, float management, critical path control), with monthly updates and recovery plans.
- Champion pull planning/Last Planner, takt planning, and work packaging to remove constraints before they hit the field.
- Integrate 4D scheduling with BIM for spatial/sequence validation, logistics planning, and prefabrication flow.
- Align long-lead procurement, factory witness testing, and energization/commissioning milestones (PFA/IST).
- Conduct time-risk analysis and scenario modeling; develop S-curves, milestone health, variance reports, and executive dashboards.
- Lead delay analysis, claims support, and change-impact assessments in partnership with project controls.
- Mentor schedulers and project teams; upskill field staff on schedule literacy and short-interval planning.
- Partner with owners, trade partners, and design teams to drive transparency, coordination, and early issue resolution.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of scheduling leadership in mission-critical/hyperscale data centers or similar large programs.
- Expert in Primavera P6 (enterprise structures, resource/cost loading), with strong CPM fundamentals.
- Proven success implementing Lean construction (Last Planner, constraint log, takt) on complex builds.
- Hands-on experience with 4D/5D workflows (e.g., Synchro/Navisworks) and model-based coordination.
- Familiarity with Uptime Tier, MV distribution, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC, UPS, BMS/EPS, and commissioning phases.
- Strong executive communication; adept at simplifying complex schedule topics for non-technical audiences.
- Credentials preferred: PMI-SP, AACE PSP, CM-Lean, or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel to job sites and program hubs as needed.
Why Join Us
- Lead the scheduling function for marquee hyperscale programs where precision and pace matter.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams while shaping enterprise standards and digital workflows.
- Collaborate with top trade partners and owners on projects with national visibility.
- Competitive executive package and clear impact at the program and enterprise level.
