Mechanical Project Manager — Mission‑Critical (MEP)
Position Summary
Lead the mechanical side of a once‑in‑a‑generation hyperscale build. As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will be the go‑to resource for all MEP scope—from preconstruction strategy and design review to procurement, installation, energization, commissioning, and closeout. You’ll balance speed with rigor, guiding teams to deliver first‑time accuracy on a campus built for high‑density, AI‑ready compute.
Responsibilities
- Design & Constructability Reviews: Scrutinize mechanical/electrical drawings and specs; flag code compliance, constructability constraints, and lifecycle impacts.
- MEP Procurement & Partnering: Build scopes of work, author RFPs, lead pre‑bid meetings, evaluate alternates, and recommend award with clear commercial/technical rationale.
- Cost & Schedule Control: Execute quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and VE; craft CPM logic for mechanical work (procurement → install → energization → commissioning).
- Field Coordination: Drive look‑ahead planning, system shutdown sequencing, and constraint removal across structural/MEP/low‑voltage interfaces.
- Quality & Commissioning: Partner with 3rd‑party agents to plan functional/performance testing; maintain commissioning logs; orchestrate owner training and turnover.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present MEP pricing, risks, and recovery plans to internal/external teams with concise, executive‑ready narratives.
Qualifications (Required)
- 8+ years with mechanical/electrical or general contractors on large commercial/industrial builds.
- 2+ years in MEP estimating with ability to draft clear scopes for mech/electrical/plumbing/fire protection/low voltage.
- Fluent in code compliance, drawing/spec interpretation, and MEP cost drivers.
- Strong communicator with architects, engineers, trade partners, and owners.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Working knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD, estimating tools, and construction platforms (e.g., Procore, Autodesk).
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office; OSHA‑30/CPR/First Aid a plus.

- On‑site leadership for a multi‑year hyperscale program. Rotational home trips and premium per diem packages may be available for traveling professionals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ellendale, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
Offers a wide variety of benefits form Per Diem to relocatoin and project bonuses
