Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team in assembling components for Grain Bins, Grain Dryers, and Augers. This role involves working collaboratively in a team setting to ensure efficient assembly processes using power and hand tools, drills, and wrenches. The position offers a small shop atmosphere with significant growth opportunities. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as the ability to manage conflicts and maintain workflow throughout the week.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately assemble metal components and parts, ensuring correct fit and fastening according to blueprint drawings.
- Use appropriate tools to assemble and fasten all parts per engineering and quality standards.
- Assist with material setup and parts coordination.
- Support the assembly of hardware kit boxes.
- Operate roll former machines and collect metal products at the end of the line.
- Inspect the quality of assembled components before final QC inspection.
- Assist other assembly stations and transfer to other departments as needed.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues.
- Operate hand and power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects.
- Perform tasks according to time standards and quality expectations.
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist other team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Experience in mechanical assembly and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting at least 75 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or production facility is beneficial.
- Familiarity with gearboxes, motors, and air guns is advantageous.
- Ability to work from blueprints is a nice-to-have skill.

Work Environment
Work in a large fabrication and assembly plant with a small-town atmosphere located in Kindred, ND. The team-oriented culture requires flexibility to assist other cells or operate machinery as needed. The role involves working in a team of three, using power and hand tools, and adhering to a dress code of steel toe boots, jeans, and non-offensive clothing. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Fridays typically being shorter or off depending on workload. There may be occasional Saturday work during busy summer months. The position requires routine physical activities and exposure to noise and outdoor elements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kindred, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
