Patient Access Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead and optimize registration and financial clearance processes across pre-service and point-of-service operations. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, compliance with service level agreements, and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support short- and long-term planning for Registration and Patient Access functions, including financial clearance activities.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor and manage operational metrics to meet departmental and client objectives.
• Oversee staffing activities, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management. Mentor supervisors and foster team engagement.
• Communicate proactively with leadership to support professional growth and departmental success.
• Enforce policies and contribute to policy development in accordance with hospital and corporate standards.
• Provide timely updates and recommendations to leadership regarding operational challenges and solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
• Supervisory experience, including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance appraisal.
• Ability to lead teams and manage workflows in compliance with policies and applicable laws.

Reporting Structure

• Direct Reports: Supervisor, Patient Access
• Indirect Reports: Patient Access Representatives I–IV
• Reports To: Director I or II (Onsite)

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Valley City, ND.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
