Lead Construction Worker – (Travel Work)
We’re hiring a skilled, motivated construction laborer with leadership potential to join our team specializing in commercial store rebuilds and tenant‑improvement projects — including UPS Stores, retail suites, and shopping center renovations. This is a travel‑based role with steady work, competitive pay, and all travel expenses covered.
Pay & Benefits

- Daily per diem for meals

Schedule & Work Environment
- First assignment: 30‑day commercial remodel project in South Dakota
- Next project: Fargo, North Dakota
- Consistent travel work available for high‑performing team members
Job Duties
- Perform rough and finish carpentry for commercial remodels, including framing, blocking, and trim work
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, and commercial fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and construction drawings
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy and efficiency
- Build and install walls, partitions, counters, and service areas common in retail and tenant‑improvement projects
- Operate hand and power tools safely and confidently
- Ensure work meets commercial‑grade quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure materials are staged properly
Take initiative on-site, help coordinate tasks, and guide junior laborers or helpers
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and store managers during remodels
Requirements
- General construction labor experience
- Skilled with hand and power tools
- Carpentry and concrete experience
- Ability to read blueprints and accurately use a tape measure
- Strong work ethic and ability to take charge when needed
- Professionalism when working in active commercial environments
- Willingness to travel for extended projects
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
