Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service and repair construction equipment at job sites. This position involves operating a fully equipped service truck to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete mechanical repairs in the field.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical work, problem‑solving, and staying active throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Drive a service truck to construction and job sites
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
- Complete oil changes, hydraulic fluid changes, and lubrication services
- Grease equipment and replace hoses as needed
- Repair tracks, HVAC systems, and engines
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Perform field repairs efficiently and safely
- Accurately document work performed
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience in mechanical, diesel, or lube technician work
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Working knowledge of diesel engines and preventative maintenance
- Experience with automotive and diesel repair
- Field service experience with excavators and heavy equipment
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Minimum 2+ years mechanical experience in automotive or diesel technology
Certifications & Requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- OneSource Level 2+ D&B clearance
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Reliable and safety‑focused work ethic

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $58000.00/yr.
Employee profit share program Guaranteed hours program Tools provided by company PTO and paid Holidays
