Job Title: PCB Designer

Job Description

As a PCB Designer, you will be involved in the layout of mixed analog and digital designs, including line voltage traces and multilayer board designs. You will generate and apply design rules and scripts, voltage maps, spacing, and perform DRC checks. Additionally, you will create and manage templates and libraries, develop and migrate file-based libraries to Altium 365, and generate output files for manufacturing. A thorough understanding of DFM and DFT requirements of PCB layout and design is essential. You will also need to execute projects on tight deadlines and quickly adapt between different PCB designs.

Responsibilities

  • Design PCB layouts for mixed analog and digital systems.
  • Create multilayer board designs with precise line voltage traces.
  • Generate and apply design rules, scripts, voltage maps, and spacing.
  • Conduct DRC checks and ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Develop and manage templates and libraries for efficient design processes.
  • Migrate and develop file-based libraries to Altium 365, including symbols, footprints, and standardized parameters.
  • Produce output files for manufacturing and ensure their accuracy.
  • Understand and implement DFM and DFT requirements in PCB layout and design.
  • Execute projects under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to different PCB designs.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in PCB Layout and PCB Design.
  • Experience creating component libraries in Altium.
  • Knowledge of Altium 365 for managing mixed signal and voltage designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience using Altium Designer in a collaborative role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with component library and template management using Altium 365.
  • 3 years of experience in 4–6-layer mixed signal PCB boards design with AC line voltage power.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office applications like Word, Excel, and Teams.

Work Environment

This role is onsite, offering the chance to work with products that impact everyday life. You will have the opportunity to develop best practices and build an Altium library from scratch, all under supportive management.
