Job Title: Repair Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Repair Maintenance Mechanic for a 1st shift position. This hybrid role primarily involves maintaining machinery, with occasional facilities work as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial manufacturing machinery such as Press Brakes and Punch Presses.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting, HMI, programming, controls, robotics, electrical systems, and automation systems.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial manufacturing equipment knowledge, specifically conveyor mechanics.
- 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and servicing miscellaneous machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency in using various measuring tools such as calipers, squares, protractors, and measuring tapes.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment under tight time constraints while managing multiple priorities.

Work Environment
Work in a collaborative team of six on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Experience a fast-paced and dynamic production environment that values skill and efficiency.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
