Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated QC Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely production of kits in compliance with Good Manufacturing Procedures and FDA requirements. This role involves close interaction with various departments and requires a strong foundation in biology and laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely production of kits according to Good Manufacturing Procedures as designated by the supervisor.
• Verify availability of raw materials for production, including chemicals, antigens, serums, and plasmas.
• Follow and accurately complete all procedures in accordance with FDA requirements, maintaining up-to-date documentation.
• Participate in cycle counts.
• Review kit data to ensure the production of quality, consistent products.
• Assist Technical Services in troubleshooting problems, facilitating sample and kit testing in response to customer complaints or requirements.
• Interact with all other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• Academic biology lab experience.
• Sample preparation and pipette experience.
• Experience with glassware, labware, and lab equipment.
• Knowledge of biology, microbiology, immunology, and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations, including the creation of dilutions.
• Ability to operate and maintain machines such as automated plate washers, readers, and pH meters.
• Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Biology preferred.
• Science experience background with required lab experience.
• Ability to read and follow written directions.
• Good laboratory practices to maintain a safe working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branchburg, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
