We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to analyze internal trends in shipping costs, develop procedures to reduce these costs, and collaborate closely with sales, operations, marketing, and engineering teams. This role involves creating shipping documents and reports, developing control systems for inventory accuracy, and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Analyze internal trends in shipping costs to identify, develop, and implement procedures to reduce shipping costs for our end customers.
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure a high-quality, end-to-end customer/client experience.
- Create shipping documents and reports for international and domestic shipments.
- Develop control systems to assure inventory accuracy and availability.
- Improve operational efficiency to enable cost-effective scale-up.
- Maintain a highly organized work environment (5S) to facilitate a smooth flow of material, system data, and documents.
- Monitor, record, and address shipping issues or delays.
- Oversee development of best practices in cycle counting and physical inventories.
- Pack, ship, receive, and maintain inventory of products/raw materials, and fulfill customer orders.
- Perform some aspects of laboratory maintenance and support, including inventory supply/ordering and removal of biohazard and chemical waste.
- Receive shipments from suppliers, process through ERP/MRP systems, and ensure all paperwork is accurate.
- Experience with shipping and receiving, SAP ERP, and documentation.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and maintain task status communication.
- Experience with MRP software such as SAP, NetSuite, and Oracle.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.
- Implementation of Process Excellence, LEAN, and 5S principles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FedEx, DHL Worldwide, and UPS shipping systems preferred.
- Must be willing to learn, a self-starter, highly motivated, and a team player.
- Ability to work in an ISO, GMP, LEAN Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to move or lift objects up to 50 pounds and stand for several hours.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Work EnvironmentThis role operates within a structured ISO, GMP, and LEAN Manufacturing environment. The position requires the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. It is a first-shift position and involves working with various shipping technologies and ERP/MRP systems.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
