Warehouse Associate

As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in our operations by receiving and putting away inbound freight, picking and shipping customer orders, and managing product distribution to and from manufacturing. You will ensure that all processes adhere to procedural standards and maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse environment.

• Receive and put away all inbound freight according to procedural standards.
• Pick and ship customer orders as well as 3PL items following procedural standards.
• Manage product distribution to and from manufacturing.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO/FEFO methods.
• Ensure the warehouse stocking area is clean and well-maintained in accordance with safety rules.
• Receive and tag items in the warehouse with barcode labels, pallet tags, allergen stickers, etc.
• Organize stocked items, ensuring allergen separation and easy accessibility.
• Examine inventory items for defects or damage and report to the Inventory Control Department.
• Report any quality defects of ingredients to the Quality Control team.

• Knowledge of RF scanning systems.
• Experience operating reach trucks and hi-lows.
• Understanding of the FIFO system.
• Ability to work from pick lists and system-driven reports.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships and work collaboratively.
• Self-motivation, confidence, and ability to operate under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with standard mathematical skills.
• Understanding and application of safety rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Standard ability to apply general mathematical concepts.

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

The position is for a 3rd shift (11pm-7am) and includes working in dry, refrigerated, and freezer conditions. You will regularly work near moving machinery and mechanical parts, sometimes in high places, and occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, temperature extremes, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Please note that products manufactured in the facility may contain peanuts, milk, and tree nuts. The role requires standing and walking for the duration of the production shift, with frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50/hr.
