Job Title: Technologist - Podiatry

Job Description

As a Podiatry Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional outpatient care in an Ortho/Podiatry setting. Your primary duties include updating patient information in the Athena EMR system, utilizing the Care Flow scheduling system, and delivering excellent bedside care while explaining procedures to patients. You will also be responsible for clarifying and following doctor's orders, scanning necessary information into PACS, and maintaining room cleanliness after exams and procedures.



Responsibilities
  • Update patient information in Athena EMR system.
  • Provide good bedside care and explain procedures to patients.
  • Use the Care Flow scheduling system.
  • Clarify and follow doctor's orders, scanning needed information into PACS.
  • Maintain room cleanliness after exams and procedures.
  • Obtain patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control.

Essential Skills
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience with radiology and medical assisting.
  • Good bedside manner and ability to handle high-volume daily tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in Athena or other EMR systems is a plus.
  • Fluoroscopy experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is part of a team of three other technologists. The work environment offers opportunities for career advancement and training in other modalities. The podiatry office is expanding, with plans to add a doctor, which will increase patient volume. The office is owned by a reputable company known for its supportive team and opportunities for internal advancement. The typical patient flow is 25 patients a day with 7 to 20 scans. The schedule includes working Monday from 12:30 PM to 5/5:30 PM, Tuesday from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Wednesday from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and two Saturdays a month for 4 hours. Initially, the role is for 34 hours a week, with potential for more hours as the office grows.



Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clark, New Jersey.
