Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer


Job Description

This role is for an experienced R&D Hardware Design Engineer, responsible for leading the design and development of complex telecommunication hardware systems, ensuring they meet specified requirements and performance standards. This role involves translating system requirements into detailed hardware designs, conducting thorough testing and validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software and firmware engineers, to ensure seamless integration.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware components for telecommunication applications, including schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Perform in-depth testing and evaluation of hardware prototypes, identifying and resolving design flaws or performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise to ensure product performance and functionality meets the requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the viability of proposed hardware solutions.
  • Support the manufacturing process and work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality components.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in hardware engineering.

Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of ultra-high speed digital board design, especially related to telecommunication applications.
  • Expertise in Board based on RFSocs design.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware design principles, including digital and analog circuitry, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design tools, preferably Siemens PADS for schematic capture, layout, and signal integrity simulation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex hardware design issues.
  • Experience with design verification, including functional testing, debugging, and validation of hardware designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering.
  • Proven experience in hardware design and development, with a preference for the telecommunication electronics industry.
  • Experience in ultra-high speed digital design and RFSoc applications.- DDR 3, DDR 4, mixed
  • PADS or any Cadence tools
  • Proficient in using hardware debugging tools, test equipment, oscilloscopes, and RF Measurement Instruments such as Spectrum Analyzer and VNA.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout and fabrication processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
