Job Description
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician / Porter with hands on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. This role plays a key part in supporting facility operations, performing repairs, maintaining equipment and workspaces, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine facility maintenance including basic carpentry, light electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repairs.
- Support production areas by cleaning, organizing, and preparing workspaces, ensuring equipment and units are ready for use.
- Assist with remodeling tasks, surface preparation, drywall repairs, and fixture adjustments.
- General cleaning of units, machinery, or facility areas as needed.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support facilities or maintenance teams with general labor needs, tool gathering, repair assistance, and upkeep tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of handyman, facilities maintenance, or general labor experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Comfortable working around machinery, production equipment, and industrial environments.
- Proficient with common hand and power tools; ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Reliable, safety focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florham Park, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
